Gratitude
What are you grateful for?
As we begin the last month in the year 2016, it is time to take stock of the gifts and good things we have received in the course of the year. Who are the people that have impacted you positively through their actions, advices, words and even their inactions?
The year may have been challenging and you have experienced some negative things. You may also have had some disappointments with those you trusted but that does not mean it was totally a bad year. You do have something to be grateful for even if you don’t see it yet or acknowledge it – YOUR LIFE! You may not be where you ought to be and may not have achieved all the goals you set out for the year but you do have something to be grateful for…Yes, your life!
No matter where you are in your journey of achievement, keep in mind that being thankful and grateful is the key to receiving more.
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend ~ Melody Beattie
There are many who started the year but are no more with us today. Some people have been displaced from their homes (war, abuse, injustice) and many more are facing tragedies from Man’s inhumanity to man.
Be thankful for what you have; appreciate the little gifts of life and acknowledge the people who have been kind to you. Start a gratitude journal. You will be amazed for the many things we take for granted daily that we ought to be thankful and grateful for. Celebrate your little wins and work hard on the things you are yet to accomplish.
